ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Edson D. Blossom, the author of The History of Blossom Valley, is the second son of Elmer and his wife Reba. Soon after the author was born the family moved to La Mesa, California. Most of his memories of the ranch were from helping his father maintain the ranch on weekends.

Upon reaching the age of eighteen Edson signed up in the Army Air Corp and served as a weather observer in North Africa during World War II. After the war he married Ina I. Wicker. They moved to Berkeley where he studied at the University of California, receiving a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation he worked in the oil and gas business in natural gas processing plants. He is now retired and living in The Woodlands near Houston, Texas.
